Energy conservation is currently front page news, but tearing down useful old buildings is a terrible waste of energy. Preservation and the conversion of buildings to new uses, very much part of our vocabulary, are aspects of building technology long part of an architectural practice.

Of special importance to us is the proper use of materials and the way they fit together. Designing work that is both beautiful and beautifully made is a great pleasure. We have been fortunate to work with men and women who set very high standards for the work they do.
